Rybak (the mayor of Minneapolis), the mayors are putting a case of their cities’ craft beers on the line.

After two games, the Yankees are up in their series.  At the same time, I’m plotting a caper to capture the incoming bounty.  While Bloomy said he would send some local produce and a case of Brooklyn Lager to Minnesota if the Twins can pull off the series win, Mayor Rybak promised to send some Surlyproduce and a case of local beer from the Surly Brewing company.  Surly produces some fantastic brews, all packaged in cans.  Their Coffee Bender even won a bronze medal in this years GABF (Great American Beer Festival).

Surly Brewing does not distribute far from home.   Therefore, very few people in New York have seen, or even know about, its fantastic brews.  But I must say this: After Mike brought some of their tasty beers home with him after a recent trip to Minneapolis, I was totally hooked.  So all you craft beer lovers out there, if you can get your hands on a can or two of their fine product then good for you.    I, however, might need to take up a collection for bail money after the Yankees win the series.  PLAY BALL!!
